First and foremost, I believe in being straightforward and honest in my reviews, so I’ll start by saying that if I were not an Amazon Vine shopper, I would not have purchased this cereal given the price. With that said, here is my honest assessment of the product itself. I’ve been eating cereal for dinner nearly every Wednesday night for the past 40 years (it’s my guilty pleasure). I’ve never been a fan of overly sweet cereals, and as a diabetic, the fact that this cereal has no added sugar was especially appealing to me. While it has the familiar “O” shape, it doesn’t taste like the traditional O-shaped cereals many of us grew up with. Instead, it has a mild, slightly nutty sweetness and doesn’t loudly announce, “I’m healthier than what you’re used to.” I also found it to be a bit crunchier than both name-brand and generic O-shaped cereals, which I enjoyed. I tried it with both 0% fat cow’s milk and oat milk, and it held up well with both. The box arrived opened, though the inner cereal package was intact. Delivery took a few weeks, but since this wasn’t something I urgently needed, the wait didn’t bother me.As for the price, I’ll reiterate that I personally would not spend this much $ on an 8.5-ounce bag of cereal, regardless of how healthy the ingredients are. That said, the producer is transparent about the size, so I strongly encourage prospective buyers to read the product description carefully before purchasing. I’ve never bought a high-end, zero-sugar cereal before, so I can’t say whether this price point is standard. If you can afford it and are looking for a simple, three-ingredient, zero-sugar cereal, you may want to give this a try. If you’re on a modest budget, as they say, that’s a horse of a different color.
