🌿 Elari: A Clean-Label Brand Rooted in West African Wellness

Elari is a clean-label brand inspired by the healing power of tigernuts and the rich traditions of West African nourishment. Founded during the Covid-19 pandemic by Kenny and Sola—Nigerian immigrants turned wellness entrepreneurs—Elari was born from lived experience and a desire to make plant-based nutrition accessible to all.

Sola’s health journey began shortly after arriving in the U.S., where he faced food allergies, rapid weight gain, and early signs of chronic high blood pressure. Conventional diets offered little relief. But in 2019, a trip back to Nigeria changed everything. There, he rediscovered Kunun aya, a traditional tigernut drink he’d loved as a child. Amazed by his body’s tolerance to tigernuts, he brought some back to the States. Kenny began making tigernut root milk at home, and together they shifted toward a plant-based, gut-friendly diet. Over time, Sola’s symptoms improved.

That transformation sparked Elari.

Today, Elari offers shelf-stable tigernut cereals crafted with short, purposeful ingredient lists.
